Art at the Shack by Sharryn Trease

I have no formal artistic training or qualifications but I am inspired by the beauty in nature and the works of artists I have met through pottery classes and Monday Art Group at The Maker's Space.  Art for me is both therapy and social connection.

I love to explore and experiment.  I developed my own style of hand built pottery birds and what I call "Rock Art" in pottery classes and began using them as test tiles for textures, patterns and different glazes. The textures and patterns are often made using seed pods and other items I've found on my walks thru the bush.

I love to experiment to see what colours and textures flowers, leaves and other found objects can produce when eco-printing. The results are often unpredictable, particularly with the unlimited combination of what items can be used.  Unwrapping of bundles is always a much anticipated event.
