 Makers’ Space User Checklist
Entering
Full financial members are provided with the  access code: if you have not received these in the email, please contact- [email protected]


To enter the Makers’ Space: 
The first code opens the key safe.
Remove the access card and swipe the access sensor to open the door.
Return the access card  to key safe and mix up the code on the dial.
​(Hint  best to do this as soon as you open so you don't forget)

If outside of Shire office hours 9am-5.00pm, proceed immediately to the alarm keypad and turn the alarm off. Code 
Turn the alarm off according to the instructions next to the pad.
If you make a mistake, enter the code again to turn the alarm off. If you trigger the alarm, ring the number in the instructions next to the alarm key pad and tell them you are the Art Space at COPACC. The authorised phone number is next to the keypad.

Opening 
Place flags outside, near COPACC driveway.
Sign the members’ Attendance Book.
If you find anything wrong, email: [email protected].
Incidents need to be logged on an incident report form on the website.
During Your Day
Welcome visitors and ask them to sign the Visitors’ Book.
If people want to become members, they will need to fill out a Makers’ Space membership form on the website.

Closing Up
Tidy up.
Turn off lights & heating.
Set alarm if out of shire office hours.

The alarm & is on  the wall near the glass door  that enters into shire foyer opposite the main entry door.

The Code is emailed to members

To turn alarm off
Enter the code in key pad 
Press  Off
To turn alarm on 
Enter the code
press On
You have 30-60 sec to exit the building before the alarm is activated- its longer than it sounds.
Tips- have all your belongings  outside the door before setting the alarm
​The Colac Makers' Space is primarily an art space offering the community the opportunity to use the space to create their own work, it also offer creative drop-in sessions, affordable workshops, talks and exhibitions for all artists and makers- beginner or experienced and we welcome new members
