Art ‘hooked’ me more than I it… the magic, variety, expressiveness and exploration both of materials and techniques engaged me in an adventure of pleasure. It isn’t always that way for me because somehow life can seem to get in the way or that spark of creativity just seems to be lost. However, overall it is something that I can participate in which brings a great deal of pleasure.
My learning has largely been through observation of more skilled artists as well as attending numerous workshops. On-line learning has been an added asset for me. I take inspiration from nature; and experiment with various types of mediums, but loving above all the art of printmaking. Also, the companionship and inspiration of fellow artists has been and continues to be, something which has contributed to my well-being. On the flip side, I love to encourage others and have volunteered in the art world in various capacities so that I might give back in a way that I have been given.
